Valentines Candy and Roses
StuCo will be selling roses and candy on Thursday, February 13th before school and during nutrition. Roses will be 3 dollars each and candy will be 2 dollars.
Senior Ads for Yearbook
The last day to purchase a Senior Ad for the 2025 VCHS yearbook is February 13th, 2025. Don’t miss out! Go to yeabookforever.com, search for vchs, click on the store and create your ad today.
Spirit Week
The next spirit week is this week, February 10-13th. Monday is word scrabble day, Tuesday is twin day, Wednesday is pink and red day, and Thursday is anything but a backpack. There is no school on Friday, February 14th.
Caps and Gowns
Seniors, CAP & GOWN PHOTOS are February 19th & 20th from 8:30-11:30 in the Library. Don’t forget to order your cap & gown from Jostens! The deadline to order caps and gowns is February 26th. Lunch Menu
The Lunch Menu for this week is as follows: Today is Chicken Strips w/ Fries, Tuesday is a Cheeseburger w/ Fries, Wednesday is Beef & Cheese Burrito, Thursday is a Chicken Bake w/ Onion Rings. There is no School on Friday or Monday.
About VCHS News
Our Story
- Founded in 2024 by our students here at Virginia City High School, this course serves as a comprehensive journey into digital media, encompassing various disciplines such as photography, videography, animation, and interactive media. Through hands-on practice, students will delve into the techniques that drive effective digital communication. Students will learn interview techniques and editing software to capture compelling visuals and tell engaging stories. Students will also create and maintain a Virginia City High School “student friendly” web page that includes video highlights of clubs, sports, teachers, and students. Finally, students will film daily announcements that also include their projects and promos. From framing, lighting, and sound techniques to post-production editing, students will develop the skills needed to produce professional-quality videos. Whether aspiring to pursue a career in advertising, filmmaking, or digital marketing, this course equips students with the appropriate tools and knowledge needed to pursue their interest in digital media.
