The Senior Spotlight shines on Alanna Hunt this week. Alanna has been a dedicated student in the Storey County School District since kindergarten and is currently enrolled in the Jumpstart program, where she is working toward her Associate of Science degree while maintaining an impressive 4.573 GPA.
During her freshman year, Alanna participated in both volleyball and basketball, and she has also committed four years to playing softball. Some of her favorite high school memories include playing volleyball in P.E. with her friends and collaborating on a creative project where they designed a 3D printed board game custom version of Sorry!.
Outside of school, Alanna practices Kenpo (mixed martial arts) and is working toward earning her black belt. In her free time, she enjoys baking for friends and family. She has been accepted into the University of Nevada, Reno, where she plans to study aerospace engineering. After completing her college education, Alanna hopes to pursue a career in astronautical engineering, with a focus on spacecraft design and development.
