Seniors, as many of you may have noticed, the painted ceiling tiles in our upstairs hallways have become a tradition here at VCHS. For the past two years, graduating seniors have had the opportunity to decorate a ceiling tile, leaving their unique mark on our school. Ms. Kim will have the tiles available in her office, and the cost is $20.00 per tile. If you're interested in participating in this fun tradition, please don't hesitate to see Ms. Kim.
Current Spirit Point Count: Freshmen 129, Sophomores 217, Juniors 153 and Seniors 229. The class that earns 250 points first will earn a party to celebrate! We only have 6 Fridays and ONE Spirit Week left to earn points. Lets see that school spirit MUCKERS!!!
The sophomore class of 2027 fundraiser is a Dinner and Bingo Game night on April 25th from 6-8:30pm. Diner will be pulled pork sandwiches, cole slaw, chips, and soda. There will also be a silent auction. Bingo cards are 5 dollars each or 5 for 20. Dinner and 3 bingo cards is 20 dollars, and dinner only is 10 dollars. Come out and support the class of 2027!
In golf, Dalton shot a 74 at Empire Ranch and placed 3rd overall. Our Mucker boys placed 3rd overall as a team as well with Riley hitting 103, Cash 106, and Gunner 113. Jediah and Colin continue to improve every week.
Softball has played a few tough games and they continue to fight for wins in league in the hopes of making it to playoffs.
Baseball has had a tough go this year but the boys are staying strong, having fun, and testing their mental strength as they push forward. It's hard to lose, and our boys are doing so with some acceptance and grace thanks to their tireless coaches.
Track has had its ups and downs with personal records recently. Our superstar of the week without question is Scarlett Fava, who as a freshman, continues to impress with natural talent. She ran hurdles this week as well as a relay race, but it is her discus throwing where she truly shines. Last week she threw 82'9' which was 3' away from our school record set by Audrey Pitman in 1983'. Then Fava threw a whopping 92'6" this past weekend at McQueen which not only broke the school record, but pretty much shattered it. It will be fun to see what she can do in these next few years, but for now, we are looking forward to state.
This week's competitions: Today, track and field are AWAY @ Damonte Ranch. On Thursday April 24th, softball is home for a double header, playing Lassen at 1 and 3. On Saturday, April 4 26th Baseball and Softball are AWAY vs Carlin @ 10am/12pm and Track and Field are AWAY @ Carson High at 9am
Friday is Pizza w/ Fries
